The Green Mortgages promotes sustainability in line with Switzerland’s Energy Strategy 2050. It supports borrowers and investors in their sustainability efforts. Accordingly, it can be assumed that sustainable properties are more likely to yield sustainable, long-term returns.
As with the conventional product range of UBS key4 mortgages, you can also put together a Green Mortgage based on your needs.
Sustainability certificates must be valid for at least a further 6 months upon submission to UBS key4 mortgages and apply to all properties to be financed. The following certificates are accepted (March, 2024 status):
* A property with the following certificates (BREEAM, DGNB, and LEED) is considered energy-efficient if at least 80% of the heat supplied by the heating system comes from renewable energy sources. In the case of district heating, 50% of the heat must be generated from renewable energy.
